Vintage Soviet Mechanical Men Wrist Watch Raketa Big Zero USSR
Soviet legendary Raketa big 'ZERO' watch (Russian: PAKETA, meaning: Rocket).
This is a PRETTY RARE collectable model with white round dial and easy to read
black numerals and '0' instead of '12' on top of the dial. This watch model is
also known as Gorbachev's watch. The watch was produced in the middle 1980's at
one of leading USSR watch factories Petrodvorets Watch Factory «RAKETA» in the
Soviet Union / USSR. It is also well known as PChZ (Russian: ПЧЗ).
It is a mechanical wind-up watch and is working very well and keeps accurate
time

Inscription on dial: RAKETA. Made in USSR Raketa (Russian: Paкeтa) brand
watches have been manufactured since 1962, first in the Soviet Union and now in
Russia, by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg, the oldest
factory in Russia. It was founded by Peter the Great in 1721 as the Peterhof
Lapidary Works to make hardstone carvings. Raketa watches were produced for the
Red Army, the Soviet Navy, for North Pole expeditions, as well as for civilians.
Movement cal.: 2609.NA
Mechanical manual winding movement
Made in USSR;
Case diameter is 45 mm with crown.
