This ring features a mound of gorgeous gemstone chips laid out like an
asymmetrical mandala, with a little Pink Tourmaline like a cherry on top. It's
big, bold, multicoloured and sure to spark many crystalline conversations! The
base is an antique brass costume piece that I found in a local antique shop,
and it originally had a champagne coloured plastic faux stone in the centre. I
kept that and used it as a base for the mountain of tiny colourful gems.

(Side note: I would have kept this for my personal collection, but it's just a
bit too big. I really hope it goes to someone with a bold style who loves to
rock a statement ring!)

Pink Tourmaline (sometimes called "rubellite") is one of the most beautiful
stones out there, and comes in a colour range from pale, almost cotton-candy
pink to watermelon to nearly purple-red. As with all pink gems, Pink Tourmaline
is a powerful enhancer of Love energy, and works exceptionally well on those
who seek to awaken their ability to love more deeply through awakening the
Anahata, Heart, Chakra. It's healing energy is ideal for those who have
experienced heartbreak and seek to reawaken their self-love and ability to
trust; when worn by someone caring, this quality also transfers by proxy to
others who see or touch the gems. In The Book of Stones, Naisha Ahsian writes
that Pink Tourmaline "stimulates feelings of joy, happiness and relaxation,"
making it an ideal gemstone for... well... everybody!

Blue Apatite is, in my opinion, one of the most gorgeous stones on the planet!
Naturally deep to neon blue, it looks like a tropical sea solidified in the
form of a gem. It's known by crystal healers as a powerful third eye talisman,
worn for awakening psychic ability. In The Book of Stones, Naisha Ahsian
praises Blue Apatite as a gem "to use in past life work, due to it's ability to
lend access to the energy levels where the Akashic records exist." This makes
it an ideal stone for those curious about their soul's journey, the lessons
learned and patterns yet to be broken. When I worked as a professional Tarot
Card reader, I regularly wore a Blue Apatite necklace for exactly this reason,
and always felt a deep gratitude for the added awareness it radiates. When you
wear Blue Apatite to awaken your own psychic potential, remember that the power
of the stone is only accessed through your personal action and intention, so to
get the full benefit, be sure to meditate, concentrate and focus your awareness
on the Third Eye Chakra, located between the brows in the centre of the
forehead. Blue Apatite makes a lovely gift for anyone who's interested in
mystical work, shamanic journeying, clairvoyance, psychic power and aura
reading.

Tanzanite is one of the rarest gems on the planet, and is found only in it's
namesake Tanzania. Resonating with the Third Eye, it awakens clairvoyance and
heightened perception in those who wear it, making it an ideal talisman for
psychics, healers, intuitives and those who are beginning their journey of
seeking. It's also developing a reputation as a romantic gem, since it deepens
the depth of communication and opens our capacity to express intensity without
self censorship. Wear it to go beyond the inner critic and start expressing
your truest and most intense self.

Amethyst is considered precious to almost every culture and spiritual
tradition on the planet, and has been used in sacred jewellery and ritual
objects everywhere. Because of it's beautiful transparent purple colour, and
the wide variety of shades of purple in which it forms, the beauty of Amethyst
alone is enough to captivate us. But of course, the value of Amethyst is not
just how it looks, but how it makes us feel. Amethyst is known by crystal
healers and intuitive crystal practitioners to stimulate the crown chakra, also
known as Sahasrara, the thousand-petalled lotus located at the top of the head.
When the crown chakra is awakened, we experience deeper meditations, clearer
spiritual communication, and a renewed gratitude for life. In The Book of
Stones, Naisha Ahsian writes about Amethyst, "Its beautiful purple Light
combined with its high, sweet energy makes Amethyst a necessary item in any
Lightworker's toolbox."

Chrome Diopside is a master healer among crystals. Sending energy along the
chakra column, it is said to activate the solar plexus, heart and third eye,
aligning our will with our emotions and visions. This alignment helps in
manifestation of all kinds, but especially facilitates our ability to act on
dreams and goals that we often dismiss for fear of failure. When the Solar
Plexus is aligned to the Heart, we are able to turn our compassion towards
ourselves, and create the inner space needed to explore creativity and personal
development. In The Book of Stones, Robert Simmons writes about Diopside, "It
can bring all the chakras into alignment, and send the green ray of healing
throughout the body and auric fiend." This green ray is the energy of love and
light, and when we embody that energy, we become lightworkers, spreading
positivity and good vibes wherever we go.
