Turquoise is considered one of the finest semi-precious stones in the world.
In the 14th century the stone was imported from Turkey. That is why the French
named it turquoise.

For centuries the jewelery produced by the Indians south west of America is
essentially turquoise base. But for Indians, this magnificent stone actually
represents much more than ornemantale stone. In the colors of the sky and
water, turquoise is associated with the sacred mountains of america and is used
in religious cermonies to ensure the fertility of their livestock and for
hunters, safe return from hunting.

For them the turquoise represents health, fertility and victory.

Almost all of turquoise that we sell on this site come from mines in American
South West and were mined in the 80s. Our jewelry is sterling silver mounted
and were imported in France by us. All our turquoise and silver jewelry carry
the oval responsablity hallmark and for large pieces, the hallmark affixed by
the French state.
