This is a vintage men's Soviet wristwach "Vostok"- ("Wostok"). Analog
movement. This is a fully Authentic Vostok Amphibia watch made in USSR era.
Made in 1960s at Chistopol Watch Factory.
The watch has been fully serviced,cleaned and oiled by a professional watch
maker. The watch is working very accurately.
Chistopol watch factory "Vostok" is located in Chistopol, Republic of
Tatarstan. It is a town-forming enterprise of a single-industry town.
Its history dates back to the autumn of 1941. In November, the first barges
with equipment and 500 workers of the evacuated Second Moscow Watch Factory
arrived in the city of Chistopol. In the spring of 1942, the ChCHZ began serial
production of military-purpose watchmakers, and by July 1 earned full power.
The enterprise was created as a numbered plant, working for the needs of the
front. But already in February 1943, carrying out the order of the People's
Commissariat of Mortar Armament, the factory began to produce peaceful
products. These were the first men's wristwatch "Kirovskie" in the country.
In 1957, the production of precision watches K-28 "Vostok", "Mir", "Volna",
"Saturn", "Cosmos" with side and central seconds arrows, lens and shockproof
device was mastered.
